VRYSTAAT SURPRISE:
Another success story on the importing side, for this older girl we travelled over to Belgium,I flew in and brought her home on the ferry into Rosyth. She had originally been brought in from South Africa by the breeder and was a fully health tested female, with all the correct documentation etc ready for her travels to us. This girl,we called her Prizey, integrated well into our gang but did tend to be a bit of a bully at times, with her very obvious 'rump bump' move to knock the dogs out of her way to get to the feeding hut first! We bred her only twice to two different males, with only one litter being successfully born, to Ysterberg Laksman, producing some phenomenal dogs in 2006 that everybody clamoured after, one of whom only died at 12 years of age. Were we told everything about her that we should have been told? nah,not quite. It might have been nice to know prior to taking her on that she had already bitten a kennel hand where she came from............luckily we had no issues with her aside from dog aggression after being spayed.
